Our News
What actually makes a convoy possible?
It is not just the vehicles.
It is the people finding them, preparing them, repairing them and getting them ready for the road.
It is the equipment donated by businesses and individuals.
It is the fundraising that helps cover the costs.
It is the volunteers organising, loading and driving.
And it is the supporters who make all of this work possible.
A convoy is the result of all these different pieces coming together.
There is a lot more behind every journey than what you see on the road.

Not every donation looks the same.
Some of the support we take to Ukraine is donated directly by individuals, businesses and organisations.
Other items need to be purchased, especially when they are specialist or difficult to source.
Our Aid Coordinator explains that this can include things like tourniquets, specialist medical supplies, generators and basic medical items such as field dressings.
When donating medical supplies, it is important that they are in date and meet the requirements for use in Ukraine.
If you have equipment or supplies that you would like to donate, please get in touch with us first.
We can let you know whether they are suitable and whether we can include them in a future convoy.
And if you don’t have items to donate, financial support is just as important. It helps us purchase the things that cannot easily be donated and make sure our vehicles leave the UK with the equipment they need.
Different kinds of support. One convoy. Practical help for Ukraine.

One ambulance. Many people behind it.
An ambulance may be what you see in a convoy, but it is never the work of just one person.
Behind every vehicle are people who helped make it possible.
Someone found the vehicle.
Someone checked and prepared it.
Someone helped with repairs or equipment.
Someone provided a place to store it.
Someone donated or raised the money needed to get it on the road.
And then there are the people who drive it, organise the journey, load the vehicles and make sure everything reaches our Ukrainian partners safely.
Most of these people will never appear in a photo like this.
But every one of them is part of the journey.
This is what makes Convoy4Ukraine a community effort. Different people bring different skills, time, resources and support, but all of it comes together around the same goal: getting practical help where it is needed in Ukraine.
One ambulance. Many people behind it. One shared purpose.
There is always room for another person, business or organisation to become part of the next convoy.
